The Challenge

Pick one day (any day before the send-by date) and go out with your camera — phone, digital, or film, and photograph anything to do with animals. The more imaginative, the better! It could be:

A real animal (wildlife, pets, farm animals, birds in flight, bugs, even footprints or feathers)

An animal word (shop name, street name, pub sign, bus advert, billboard)

An animal image or object (logos, mascots, statues, toys, murals, clothing prints)

Vehicles or products named for animals (Mustang, Puma, Beetle, Jaguar, etc.)

Patterns and symbols (zodiac animals, heraldry, emojis, sports team crests)

There’s no upper limit on how many you take, but please send at least 5 different photos to each partner. Try not to take them all in the same place. It may be tempting to go to a zoo and do it, but try to include at least one taken in a different location on the same day.

What You’ll Send (by Email)

Send one email per partner with: at least five photographs and a short description, where you took it, when, etc.

Creative Prompts (optional but fun)

A real animal, an animal word, and an animal logo (get all three)

Something in motion (bird, dog, horse, bus advert whizzing by!)

Black-and-white conversion of your strongest image

A “hidden animal” (shadow, cloud, rock that looks like a creature)

A human–animal connection (leash hooks, pet bowls outside cafés, trail signs)

Be respectful. Do not distress animals or trespass for a shot.

Avoid publishing strangers’ faces without consent; street/documentary is fine, but use good judgment.

Follow local laws, venue rules, and wildlife guidance.

Film shooters: Your day still must be one single 24-hour window; developing afterwards is fine—just meet the Send-By.

Mobility/Weather: You can complete the hunt within your reachable area (home/street/yard/window views), as long as all photos are taken during that one chosen day.

Rate 5 if you receive the email by the deadline with at least five photos tied to the animal theme.

Give a heart ♥ for variety, thoughtful captions, humour, and imagination.
