From the desk of the Paper Secrets Society, a curious transmission has been intercepted—strange symbols, cryptic riddles, and suspiciously clever codes. We suspect this is no ordinary note—it’s a cipher, waiting to be cracked.

For this swap, you’ll become both agent and archivist. Your mission: create a cipher, puzzle, or secret message for your partner. It might be beautifully hand-illustrated, constructed with collage, or crafted in the format of a strange letter, a tiny zine, a scroll, or even a coded ATC. This is a celebration of secrets, and the more mysterious, the better. Let your creativity take the lead—but make sure your puzzle is solvable! Include the answer key or decoding instructions either within the envelope (sealed if you like) or as a separate note.

🧩 Your cipher could take many forms:

• A substitution or symbol-based cipher

• A riddle or visual puzzle

• A scavenger-style paper trail (on a single page)

• Something weird you invented yourself!

✏️ No computer-generated puzzles unless you’ve added your own personal artistic touch! Handmade or hand-altered preferred. You are welcome to print the answer key from the web if you are using an established cypher (like the pig pen cypher in the pic above).
